COMMITTEE APPROVES MICHAEL JACKSON TO BE DHS DEPUTY SECRETARY

Washington, DC – The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee today gave unanimous approval of the nomination of Michael Jackson to be the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Jackson’s nomination must now be voted on by the Senate.

The Committee vote was taken today at the Capitol. It was a unanimous voice vote to report Jackson’s nomination to the full Senate. Twelve members were present. The members present were the following:
