Implementing Solutions: The Importance of Following Through on GAO and OIG Recommendations

This hearing explored agency follow-up on recommendations from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and offices of inspectors general (OIGs). In the hearing, subcommittee members learned more about the recommendation process, examined reasons for agency inaction on recommendations, and learned the ways Congress can be helpful to agencies implementing recommendations.
