Today, Senator McCaskill wrote to the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Jonathan Greenert, regarding the management of contracts by the Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). She requested a briefing regarding the management challenges SPAWAR faces in the Smart/Jones Building contract and the software development contract for the Department of Defense Medical Review Board (DODMERB). She was particularly concerned about the DODMERB contract’s cost overruns and the mediation requirements of the Interservice Support Agreement.
