The purpose of the hearing was to examine opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (TDA).  The hearing also addressed what opportunities may exist to streamline and/or combine the functions of OPIC and USTDA, including financial management and oversight, with other federal agencies.
