Chairman McCaskill Raises Concerns About Army’s Continued Reliance on No-Bid KBR Contract

Chairman McCaskill asked Secretary Gates why the Army is not moving quickly enough to transition away from KBR’s monopoly LOGCAP contract in Iraq to new, competitively-awarded contracts. Chairman McCaskill also released new information regarding the Defense Department’s failure to recover overcharges and excess profits on KBR subcontracts.
