WASHINGTON – Senator Susan Collins issued the following statement regarding the selection of Rear Adm. Sandra L. Stosz to serve as the next Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
"I wish to congratulate Rear Adm. Sandra L. Stosz, who recently was named the next Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. As the first woman superintendent of a military service academy, Rear Adm. Stosz has a distinguished record of service and will serve as an inspiring example of the leadership roles that women have assumed in our nation’s armed forces. I commend Rear Adm. Stosz for her accomplishments and look forward to our future work together."
