Private Sector Perspectives on Cybersecurity to be Highlighted at Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Members’ Meeting Wednesday

WASHINGTON — Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Sen. Gary C. Peters (D-Mich.), chairman and ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, announced that the committee will hold a roundtable meeting for members and staff on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, titled “Cybersecurity Roles and Responsibilities: Private Sector Perspectives.” The meeting, which is open only to committee members and staff, aims to help members better understand the private sector’s perspective of the roles and responsibilities of various federal agencies, the challenges presented by public-private collaboration for information sharing, and how best to respond to cyber incidents and defend critical infrastructure against cyber-threats.
