WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, appeared on “Mornings with Maria” Tuesday to discuss the 2020 election and the federal investigation into Hunter Biden.
Excerpts from his interview are below and a video of the interview can be found here.
“I hope that the U.S. Attorney in Delaware will conduct a serious investigation. My concern is that it might be the type of investigation we saw under the Hillary Clinton email scandal, which was an investigation not to uncover the truth leading to prosecution conviction, more investigation to cover up the truth and lead to exoneration. Let’s hope that’s not the case with U.S. Attorney in Delaware.”
“We have all kinds of examples of fraud and we know a large percentage of the American public just simply don’t think this was a legitimate election. That’s an unsustainable state of affairs for our country. We have to have confidence in our elections, we need to restore that confidence. One of the ways to do that is with oversight hearings, point out what went wrong so things can be corrected and controls can be put in place for the next election.”
