PRESS CONFERENCE: America’s Foster Youth at Risk: Addressing a Broken System

Senator Tom Carper (D-Del.), chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, will hold a press conference on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at the Senate Swamp to release a new Government Accountability Office Report on the ongoing risk of improper prescribing of psychotropic drugs to American foster children. Joining Chairman Carper will be Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and former foster youth representatives from Casey Family Programs, who will share their experience in the foster care system.
