This hearing examined the preparedness of Federal agencies to protect the Federal workforce and continue their essential functions in the event of a pandemic influenza. In particular, the hearing focused on issues identified by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) in a report (GAO-09-404) on that subject requested by the Subcommittee.
