Agenda
This hearing continues the Subcommittee’s oversight of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) management directorate, and the management challenges associated with the creation of DHS from 22 separate agencies and offices. Since 2003, implementing and transforming DHS has been included on the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) High-Risk List. This hearing will coincide with the release of GAO’s most recent management integration report (GAO-10-131) examining the Department’s progress thus far. The subcommittee will also hear an update on management challenges at the Department from the DHS Inspector General.
