The Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the Subcommittee on Securities, Insurance, and Investment of the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs held a joint hearing entitled, “Examining the Efficiency, Stability, and Integrity of the U.S. Capital Markets.” Hearing witnesses included representatives from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and trading experts.
